Avi Book-next 20 pages
Right now we're in the middle of our Avi discussion. The first book we're talking about is Something Upstairs. This book is about a kid who's parents get a job and they move to Rode Island and in the new house he meets a new ghost and the ghost sends him back in time to right a wrong. Nyla said she really liked the time travel aspect of this novel. Maytal said she doesn't like the his style of writing, but the plot was really good.
~Hard Gold is set in Iowa during the Gold Rush. Early runs away with a wagon train in search of his Uncle and hopes to save the farm.
~Don't You Know There's a War On is set in Brooklyn during World War II, Howie tries to save his teacher from getting fired.
Nakada and Riley say that they don't like the way he writes the characters because they aren't smart and do stupid things.

hey zeyna nice job on the blog. i really like that idea of rios tutoring someone who is struggling. that would be a good challenge for her. but man i keep procrastinating with hw, grr.... anyways see ya!!!
